Concessions are incentives you may offer to your customer for bringing their event to your organization. You use the Concessions tab to:
- Record the concessions for the event opportunity
- Send requested concession details to your member/partner (distribution) accounts
- Allow your member/partner (distribution) accounts to respond yes or no on whether they are willing to provide the concession(s)
To add a concession to an event opportunity:
- Click the Event Opportunities link from the Main Menu. The Event Opportunities screen opens.
- Select the event opportunity for the concession.
- Right-click and select Edit -> Edit. The Edit Event Opportunity screen opens.
- Select the Concessions tab.
- Click the Add button. The Add Concession screen opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Concession - Select the concession type for the concession.
- Amount - Amount for the concession.
- Concession Date - Date for the concession.
- Note - Additional information about the concession.
- Click OK.
If you use online bulletin management (BUM) for bulletin responses, the concessions for an event opportunity display on the response page if the Properties Must Agree to Concessions Offered check box is checked for the bulletin. The distribution account/contact can choose to accept or reject each concession.
If a distribution account/contact accepts a concession, a record is added on the Concessions tab for the event opportunity. You can show the Distribution Account column to see who has accepted the concession(s).
You can view all concessions added to all event opportunities and all concessions accepted by distribution accounts/contacts using the Concessions screen from the Main Menu.
Event Opportunity Concessions Security
Access to event opportunity concessions is controlled by the following access privileges:
- Allow Access to Event Opportunity Concessions - Users and/or roles assigned to the privilege and have ALL entered into the Value field are allowed to add, edit and delete concessions on event opportunities and has access to the Concessions screen from the Main Menu. Users and/or roles assigned to the privilege and have View entered into the Value field are allowed to view concessions on event opportunities and has access to the Concessions screen from the Main Menu. Any users not assigned to the privilege cannot add, edit or delete concessions and do not have access to the Concessions screen from the Main Menu. If no users are assigned to the access privilege, all users can add, edit and delete concessions, and all users have access to the Concessions screen from the Main Menu.
- Allow Add/Edit/Delete of Concessions by Event Opportunity Status - Users and/or roles assigned to the privilege are allowed to add, edit and delete concessions on event opportunities up to and equal to the status assigned for them in the access privilege. Any users not assigned to the privilege cannot add, edit or delete concessions. If no users are assigned to the access privilege, all users can add, edit and delete concessions at any status.
