You use campaign statuses to manage where a campaign is in your business process. You can use campaign detail statuses to manage the progress of an account/contact within a campaign. See Campaign Detail Statuses for more information.
Add a Status
- Click the Campaign Statuses link from the Main Menu. The Campaign Statuses page opens.
- Click the Add button. The Add Campaign Status window opens.
- Enter the following information:
- Description - Name for the status such as New.
- Weight - Determines the order the status displays in the Status drop-down. Drop-downs display the order status in ascending order by weight.
- Active - If checked, the status is available for selection in the Status drop-down.
- Text Color - Text color when the status displays in drop-downs and screens throughout the system.
- Background Color - Background color when the status displays in drop-downs and screens throughout the system.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Check the box(es) for each area of the system you want the campaign status available.
- Click OK.
Change a Status
You can change the information for the campaign status after you have created it. When you change the description of a campaign status, it updates wherever the campaign status is used. If you don't want to update the already existing campaign status data, then you must add a new campaign status using the steps in Add a Status.
- Click the Campaign Statuses link from the Main Menu. The Campaign Statuses page opens.
- Select the status to edit.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Campaign Status window opens.
- Make the desired change.
- Click OK.
Inactivate a Status
If you no longer use a campaign status but want to keep record of it for reporting or other purposes, you can make it inactive. When you make a campaign status inactive, it is no longer available for selection campaigns.
- Click the Campaign Statuses link from the Main Menu. The Campaign Statuses page opens.
- Select the status to make inactive.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Campaign Status window opens.
- Check the Active box.
- Click OK.
Delete a Status
f you no longer use a campaign status and don't want to keep a record of it, you can delete it. When you delete a campaign status that is used, you receive a prompt to select a campaign status to replace the campaign status you are deleting. You cannot undo the delete or delete and replace process.
- Click the Campaign Statuses link from the Main Menu. The Campaign Statuses window opens.
- Right-click on the status to delete.
- Select Mark for Delete.
- Click the Save button. If the status is used, the Replace window opens.
- Select the status from the drop-down to replace the deleted status.
- Click OK.
