You use the content builder to configure the pages and sections in your online order processing web pages. The content builder allows you to create web pages for the different item categories and subcategories you offer.
You can configure a new content builder layout or, if you are creating a content builder layout similar to an existing one, you can copy the existing one and make adjustments to more quickly create the new one.
To configure a new content builder layout for order processing:
- Click the Content Builder Layouts link from the Main Menu. The Content Builder Layouts page opens.
- Click the Add button. The Add Content Builder Layout Prompt window opens.
- Select the OP - Order Processing radio button.
- Click Continue. The Content Builder screen opens. The configurable pages display on the left of the screen, the page configuration displays in the middle of the screen and the available components for the page display on the right side of the screen. The initial page, the Homepage is the first page available in order processing.
- Drag and drop the Custom Text component from the Components section of the screen to the Page section of the screen to add custom text to the page. For example, an overview of the ordering process. The Content Builder Layout Required Fields window opens. This screen only opens once. Skip to step 9 if you have already entered this.
- Enter the name for the content builder layout into the Name field.
- Click OK. The Component Settings window opens.
- Enter a name for the component into the Name field.
- Click the Configure button to configure additional settings for the custom text. The Configure Custom Text window opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Description - Internal name for the component.
- Title - Text that displays as a header on the online page.
- Summary - Text that displays under the header on the online page.
- Text Type - Select to use plain text or HTML text. If you select HTML, you can use HTML in the text field to add styling elements and images.
- Enter the text into the text field.
- Click OK. You return to the Component Settings window.
- Click OK.
- Click + Category under the Pages section to add an additional web page to separate your available order items. The Page Settings window opens.
- Enter a name for the new page into the Name field.
- Click OK. You return to the Content Builder window.
- Drag and drop the Items Listing component from the Components section of the screen to the Page section of the screen. The Component Settings window opens.
- Enter a name for the component into the Name field.
- Click the Configure button. The Add Order Processing Items Configuration window opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Description - Name for the item listing.
- Select Resources - Click the hyperlink to select the resources to display on the page:
- The Select Order Items screen opens.
- Select the items to include on the page. Use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select multiple items.
- Click the Select button. You return to the Add Order Processing Items Configuration window.
- Click OK.
- Click OK on the Component Settings screen. You return to the Content Builder window.
- Click + Sub-Category under the Pages section to add a sub=category to the category on the web page to further separate your available order items. The Page Settings window opens.
- Repeat steps 15 - 21 for the sub-category.
- Repeat steps 14 - 23 to add additional categories and sub-categories.
- Repeat steps 5 - 13 to add custom text to any of the order processing web pages.
- Click OK on the Content Builder window when your page configuration is complete.
To copy an existing content builder layout:
- Click the Content Builder Layouts link from the Main Menu. The Content Builder Layouts page opens.
- Select the content builder layout to copy.
- Right-click and select Copy Content Builder Layout. The Copy Content Builder Layout window opens.
- Enter a name for the new content builder layout into the Name field.
- Click OK.
