Software Requirements
The transition to version 2024.4 is designed to be as seamless as possible, requiring minimal adjustments on your part. To ensure a smooth upgrade process, it is important to verify that your current installations meet the following version requirements:
Required Versions for Add-ins:
- Office/Outlook/Excel Reporting:
- Required version: 1.04.02 or higher
- Recommended version: 1.04.04 or higher
- Ungerboeck Web Add-in:
- Required version: 20.8.83 or higher
- Recommended version: 20.8.86 or higher
If your versions do not meet the above requirements, please refer to Replace the Office Add-In, Outlook Add-In and/or Excel Reporting Add-In for Office/Outlook/Excel Reporting and/or Ungerboeck Web Add-In for step-by-step instructions on how to update your software.
Post-Test/Pre-Prod Preparation
After the Test environment has been upgraded, some customers choose to verify that their key workflows, integrations, and customizations continue to work as expected. If you need your test environment data refreshed, please enter a ticket for your regional Support team and request to copy production to test after the test upgrade has been completed.
Angular Upgrade in Public-Facing Applications - Customers on 2024.2 and Earlier
As stated in the release notes, we have updated the Angular framework in all public-facing applications from v16 to v18. In this version of Angular many of the components have been refactored to be based on the official Material Design Components for Web (MDC).
If you are targeting Material Design component and style structures in custom HTML or CSS selectors in the public-facing applications listed in the release notes, there could be breaking changes. Before upgrading to 2024.3 in production we recommend:
- Ask your developer to examine your CSS/HTML and look for
.mat-
selectors. - Update any selectors to the new ones. Angular's developer documentation has a list of updated components.
- For example,
.mat-primary
is now.mat-mdc-primary
.
- For example,
- Test all pages of any public-facing application which uses custom HTML or CSS to confirm that things are appearing and functioning as expected.
How to access your Test Environment
Your test environment can be accessed by adding /test to the end of your Production URL.
Ex. If your Production URL is https://customer.ungerboeck.net, your test environment URL will be https://customer.ungerboeck.net/test. Please enter a ticket for your regional Support team if you have issues logging into Test.
What to expect During the Upgrade
During the upgrade, Momentus Enterprise access will typically be temporarily unavailable for 30-60 minutes per environment. Production activities won't be affected during testing. Upgrade completion is expected within the communicated window.
Customers using replication, please note that replication will be down for 6-12 hours before and/or after your upgrade is processed. Your upgrade may also be completed at any time over the specified weekend.
