Under Fixed Assets > Fixed Assets Configuration
On the General Tab, how do I know when to use the Periodic method over the daily method?
Periodic - If the company's fiscal calendar corresponds to the calendar months, each period start day is the first day of the month, and you wish to allocate annual depreciation evenly throughout the year, then choose Periodic.
Daily - If the fiscal and calendar start and end dates DO NOT correspond to the start and end date of a calendar month, OR you wish to allocate the depreciation based on the number of days in a fiscal period, then choose Daily. Companies that typically use a 13 period fiscal calendar, would typically choose Daily.
