Global Navigation Bar
The Global Navigation Bar is a constant throughout Momentus Enterprise. It is located at the top of every screen and contains the following:
- Home/Dashboard
- Main Menu
- Favorites
- Quick Adds
- Access to Main Screens
- Additional Options
- Document Notifications/Activity Notifications
- User Information
- Help
Home/Dashboard
The Home button brings you back to your default dashboard. Dashboards are a central location where your most important information can display in one place. Dashboards are configurable and are often tailored to a specific role, department, etc. See Dashboards for more information.
Main Menu
The Main Menu displays all the areas of Momentus Enterprise available to a user. Hovering over an option on the left displays the available menu headings. You can click the menu heading to see the available menu options under the heading. Use the search box at the top of the Main Menu to quickly find a menu option.
Favorites
A favorite creates a shortcut for you to quickly access a customized view of specific screens without having to navigate through the menus. This is particularly useful if a screen is not in the Global Navigation Bar. See Favorites for more information.
Quick Add
Use the Quick Add button to add activities, contacts, orders, reports and more without navigating to a specific screen and adding from there.
Display Screens
The look and screen design of most screens in Momentus Enterprise is similar to the below:
- The left side shows a list of all the information for the screen. This is referred to as the List or List View.
- The right side shows the details for whatever information is selected on the left side. This is refereed to as the Details or Details View.
- You can change the width of the left or right side using the divider, outlined in orange above.
- To change the tab location, see Change Location of the Detail Display.
Views
You use views to create different ways of looking at the information in a List. For example, in the Events screen, you can create a view for upcoming events for the next 7 days and create a view for upcoming events for the next 30 days. You can save each of these views so you can easily change between them without having to change your search options and/or columns each time. See Views for more information.
Filter or Search for Information in a List
Use the fields at the top of the List View to filter or search for specific information on a screen.
- Click the Advanced Search link for additional filtering and searching field.
- Click the magnifying to show and hide the search and filter fields.
- Click the Clear button to remove all the search and filter options.
Show and Hide Columns
Right-click on the column header for any list and select Show Columns or Hide Column to control the columns in the list. For more information about using columns, see Column Settings.
Sort, Group and Total Columns
Right-click on the column header for any list and select Sort, Group and Total to change the groupings, formatting, totals and see additional formatting options for columns. For more information about sorting, grouping and totaling, see see Column Settings.
Tooltips
Hovering over a hyperlink opens a tooltip. A tooltip is a pop-up screen that provides more information for the hyperlink. The tooltip is configurable to allow you to include information important to you, which can be performed by those with access to the Edit Layout link.
Export a List View
Click the Tools button at the top of any list view to export data from Momentus Enterprise to Excel or PDF. See Export a Screen for more information.
Taskbar
The Taskbar is a always available on the left of the Momentus Enterprise screen. When you expand the taskbar, it shows all the screens you have visited since you have logged in. Clicking any of the screens takes you back to the screen. See Taskbar for more information on the available options.
Browser Navigation
The web browser Back and Forward buttons can be used to navigate within the software. Use the Back button to return to a previous page or window. Use the Forward button to move back to a subsequent page or window.
Note: Using the Back button can result in exiting the application and return to a previous website.
