iEBMS webpages consist of the center part of the page that displays the Enterprise data and/or interactive forms, and the border part of the page that is controlled by the iEBMS Presentation files. To create custom iEBMS Presentation files requires a number of specialized skills.
iEBMS has six Types of Presentation files:
- Structure
- Top
- Left
- Right
- Bottom
- Stylesheet
The first five Types are HTML files, and therefore creating custom versions of these files requires knowledge of HTML or XHTML. While these files can be edited using a WYSIWYG HTML editor, it is also recommended that you are somewhat familiar with HTML code so that you can make changes to the source code as required.
HTML 4.01 Specification
The sixth Type (Stylesheet) is a CSS file, and to create a custom CSS file requires knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The Stylesheet file is typically used to define the fonts, colors, and other properties of the various elements on the iEBMS webpages.
CSS 2.1 Specification
If you require the use of custom images, icons, or other graphics on your iEBMS webpages, knowledge of graphics editing software such as Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint.net can be advantageous.
Adobe Photoshop
GIMP
Paint.net
Lastly, while not required for typical iEBMS Presentation customizations, it can sometimes be useful to apply some JavaScript to the iEBMS webpages to change their behavior or manipulate the Document Object Model (DOM).
