Custom dictionaries can be created to change the standard Momentus Enterprise phrases that are used in back office and in the public-facing applications (Registration, Event Portal, Exhibitor Service Center, and so on). To create a custom dictionary, copy an Enterprise system dictionary and then update the phrases in the copied dictionary.

Create a Custom Dictionary
- Navigate to the Dictionaries page and select the dictionary to copy.
- Right-click and select Copy Dictionary. The Copy Dictionary window opens.
- Enter the name of the dictionary into the New Title field.
- Click OK.
Update the Phrases in a Dictionary
- Navigate to the Dictionaries page and select the dictionary to update.
- Right-click and select Find and Replace v30 Phrases. The Find and Replace v30 Phrases window opens.
- Use the filters to locate the desired dictionary phrase.
- For each dictionary phrase you want to change, enter the new phrase into the User Phrase field.
- Click Save.
You can now assign the dictionary to a user or an online configuration and the updated phrases are used.
Delete a Dictionary
Obsolete or unneeded dictionaries can be deleted. Before deleting a dictionary, verify the dictionary is not assigned to any users. Attempting to delete a dictionary still assigned to a user results in an error.
- Navigate to the Dictionaries page and select the dictionary to delete.
- Right-click and select Mark For Delete. The row displays a marked for delete icon and Save and Cancel buttons become available at the bottom of the page.
- Click Save.
Custom Dictionary Security
Changing dictionary phrases is controlled by the Allow Editing of Dictionary Phrases By Window system access privilege. Users and/or roles assigned to the privilege are allowed to change field names from the Edit Layout screen. Any users not assigned to the privilege are not able to change field names from the Edit Layout screen. If no users are assigned to the privilege, it is considered inactive and no users can change field names from the Edit Layout screen.
This access privilege is a system access privilege and is access from the System Access Privileges screen from the Main Menu.

How do we know where these Dictionary words are applied on the Event? or other areas of the system??
