You can use alternate descriptions to display a different description online instead of the description used internally.
If you are not using alternate descriptions, see Alternate Descriptions for instructions on how to turn them on.
After entering the alternate description for your registration item(s), you can configure the online registration page to display the alternate description when a customer registers online:
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events page opens.
- Select the event to use the alternate descriptions in online registration.
- Right-click and select Tools -> Registration Setup. The Registration Setup window opens.
- Select the Languages tab.
- Click the Add button. The Add Public Language window opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Language - Language for the online registration.
- Dictionary - Dictionary for the online registration.
- Description to Use - Alternate description to use for the online registration.
- Region - Regional settings to use for online registration.
- Default Language - If checked, the language is used the first time a registrant accesses the registration site if the URL they used does not include the language parameter.
- Click OK.
