If you enable Terms and Conditions within your iEBMS Service Order Processing (SOP) configuration, these can be configured to either display inside of a textbox on the iEBMS shopping cart page with the I Agree checkbox underneath, or they can be displayed as a link the user clicks on and the Terms and Conditions open in a new window.
The wording for the Terms and Conditions is stored within the EBMS Dictionaries, and each phrase in the dictionary can contain up to 4000 characters. If you have extensive Terms and Conditions that are in excess of 4000 characters, there is an additional dictionary phrase that you can use whereby you can split your Terms and Conditions up into two portions, for a total of 8000 characters.
The extra dictionary phrase does not have any content in it by default, so it can be difficult to find. Follow these steps:
- Go to the v19 Main Menu > System Administration > EBMS Dictionaries
- Highlight the dictionary that is being used by your SOP configuration
(see the following article for further information: Determine which dictionary is being used by a v19 iEBMS configuration) - In the Options menu, select 'Edit Phrase by Window'
- Search for the Window ID of IN1023, and click Select
- Go to the Show Columns feature, and make sure that at least the following columns are shown:
- EBMS in English
- User Phrase
- Label ID - The first portion of your Terms and Conditions is stored within the phrase with the Label ID of 146
- The second portion of your Terms and Conditions can be stored within the phrase with the Label ID of 200
- Double click the phrase in the 'User Phrase' column and edit the phrase as required
- Once you have made all of your required changes, click the 'Apply' button to save the updated phrases to the database.
To see this change to the dictionary within your SOP configuration, restart the online SOP process from the first page.

This doesn't tell me how to actually edit the dictionary phrases

Hi R.C., thank you for your feedback.
The dictionary phrases can be edited just like the other screens within Ungerboeck that let you edit the content within the grid. I have updated the article to explicitly mention this (see steps 8 and 9).
Also, please note that you cannot edit the phrases within a System dictionary, you can only edit the phrases in User dictionaries. Please ensure that your iEBMS configurations are using a User dictionary if you would like to edit the dictionary phrases.
