If you need to view the SQL that is generating a Crystal Report file, you can easily do so from Crystal Reports:
- Go to the Main Menu and expand the "Database" option.
- Choose "Show SQL query" option. Crystal Reports will attempt to run the report and show the SQL Statement being executed on the report, including the provided parameters.
SQL from Sub-reports:
The steps described above will show the SQL statement of the selected report, so if we are positioned on the Main report, the statement displayed on this feature will be for the Main report and not the SQL from sub-reports. To get the sub-report SQL statement, open the sub-report designer and follow the same steps.
Note: The SQL statement shown in this feature is not editable. To create a Crystal Report using SQL see Create a Crystal Report Using a SQL Statement.
