Add Static MIME Types
Browse to the IIS configuration files under …\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\.
- Open the file applicationHost.config in a text editor (such as Notepad.)
- Locate the <staticTypes> tag and add the following if they do not already exist:
<add mimeType=" application/octet-stream" enabled="true" />
<add mimeType=" image/svg+xml" enabled="true" />
<add mimeType=" image/png" enabled="true" />
- Save and Close
- Restart IIS to initiate the change.
The Silverlight MIME type needs to be added under the dynamictypes.
