Date Field Group in Crystal Reports Not Displaying All Dates
When grouping on a date or time field, there are several options in Crystal Reports. When using a date field, the default option is to display one group per week. For a time field, the default is one group per second. Leaving these default options in place may cause fewer groups than expected to appear.
To change these options, follow the below steps:
1. Open the Group Expert.
2. Select the group using the date or time field and click Options.
3. In the drop-down under The section will be printed, select the options for display. To group on each date value, select "for each day." The best option for time fields is "for each minute".
4. Click OK.
5. Click OK on the Group Expert.
This Field Name Is Not Known
A Crystal Report using a Stored Procedure runs fine in Crystal Reports but when running it in Ungerboeck Software, the following message displays:
This field name is not known
Detail: errorKind
This message typically occurs when a report is built based on a stored procedure or view. Verify that the Web User and USI76ADMIN accounts have Execute or Select permissions.
Error - Database Vendor Code: 17
This message means either the SQL Server name is invalid or you do not have permission to the server.
To fix this, reset the Datasource Location to a valid server or contact your administrator to make sure you have permission to the server.
Page Size Not Large Enough
Items added to the Page Header or Page Footer section of a Crystal Report cannot span across pages. If a report object is larger than one page and it exists in the Page Header or Page Footer sections, you will receive this message:
The page size was not large enough to format the contents of an object in the report
To correct this, locate the object that is larger than 1 page and move it to the details or group header/footer section.
