Prospective member statuses indicate where a prospective member is in the overall process. There are two levels to prospective member statuses: prospective member status group and the prospective member status. You must assign every prospective member status to a prospective member status group.
The prospective member status group is maintained by Momentus Enterprise and allows you to group together prospective member statuses. An example of prospective member statuses with prospective member status groups:
- Active (Group)
- New (Status)
- Inactive (Group)
- Unable to Contact (Status)
- Not Interested (Status)
- Prospective (Group)
- Interest (Status)
- Waitlist (Group)
- Waiting List (Status)
- Overdue (Group)
- Pending Renewal (Status)
Add a Prospective Member Status
- Click the Prospective Member Statuses link from the Main Menu. The Prospective Member Statuses screen opens.
- Click the Add button. The Add Prospective Member Status screen opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Description - Name of the prospective member status.
- Status Group - Group assigned to the prospective member status.
- Text Color - Text color when the status displays in drop-downs and screens throughout the system.
- Background Color - Background color when the status displays in drop-downs and screens throughout the system.
- Active - If checked, the prospective member status is available in status drop-downs.
- Click OK.
Change a Prospective Member Status
You can change all the information for a prospective member status. When you change the information for a prospective member status, it updates wherever the prospective member status is used. If you don't want to update the already existing status data, then you must add a new status using the steps in Add a Prospective Member Status.
- Click the Prospective Member Statuses link from the Main Menu. The Prospective Member Statuses screen opens.
- Select the status to edit.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Prospective Member Status screen opens.
- Make the desired change.
- Click OK.
Inactivate a Prospective Member Status
If you no longer use a prospective member status but want to keep record of it for reporting or other purposes, you can make it inactive. When you make a prospective member status inactive, it is no longer available for selection on memberships.
- Click the Prospective Member Statuses link from the Main Menu. The Prospective Member Statuses screen opens.
- Select the status to make inactive.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Prospective Member Status screen opens.
- Uncheck the Active check box.
- Click OK.
Delete a Prospective Member Status
If you no longer use a status and don't want to keep a record of it, you can delete it. When you delete a status that is used, you receive a prompt to select a status to replace the status you are deleting. You cannot undo the delete or delete and replace process.
- Prospective Member Statuses link from the Main Menu. The Prospective Member Statuses screen opens.
- Right-click on the status to delete.
- Select Mark for Delete.
- Click the Save button. If the status is used, the Replace screen opens.
- Select the status from the drop-down to replace the deleted status.
- Click OK.
