There are two types of activities: Activities and Reminder Activities. For activities, it is assumed the activity has already taken place so the status defaults to Completed when adding a new activity.
For reminder activities, it is assumed that the activity is to take place in the future so the status defaults to New when adding a new reminder activity.
You can manually override the status when entering or editing an activity or reminder activity; however, you cannot change the activity status default behavior.

When we add new activity, it takes the current system date/time thus, the default status shows "Completed", Steps: Activities >> Add Activities, however, whilst adding Add Reminder activities, the default status remains as "New".
Please advise.

Hi Mudit,
Originally in v20, Traces (Reminder Activities) and Activities were combined into the one item. When you add an Activity, it defaults to Completed unless you change the due date/time (or status manually) where it would then default to New.
This confused some people so the option to add an activity with a New status directly was created called the Reminder Activity.

Thanks Sean, I was wondering what is the difference between these two screens in v20, and yes, it gives a bit confusion to our end users, either there should be an option where due date can be changed to any future date which sets the status "new" as default.

This is exactly what happens. As soon as you push a due date forward on an Activity, it will change the status from Completed to New.

Is there a way to not have a due date/time listed to default? If multiple people add comments to the Activity the same day and time, it doesn't appear with the most current comment on the top. It gets confusing if having to scroll each time you read an activity. Thoughts?

Hi Jenny,
Would this just be for an activity? Can you provide some screenshots of what exactly you are looking for.
Thanks,
Ryan
