The Registration waitlist and capacity fields were updated in v.97. There are new capacity and waitlist fields available on the Registration Setup, Registrant Types, Registration Functions, Function Items, and Merchandise screens that you need to add to your customized screen layouts.
Registration capacities and waitlist fields allow a clear way to determine if a capacity or waitlist have a limit, are unlimited or are turned off.
Note: When Upgrading from an Older Version
If upgrading to v.97 or later, the new fields populate with any values you entered into the previous capacity or waitlist fields. However, you must update your screen layouts to add the new fields. The old capacity and waitlist fields are no longer used, and you cannot edit them. You must add the new fields to your layout.
If you are adding a new event or setting up capacities or waitlists for the first time, you may also need to adjust your screen layout for the new fields.
The field names remain the same but they work differently. Instead of a single number field, there is a drop-down with a numeric field dependency. See below for details about each field on each screen.

Dear Support Team, we set up a registration with various maximum capacity limits for different registration funcions. however, we've noticed that items are still selectable even if the maximum capacity of a registration item is already exceeded.
I added the new field to the layout, in fact the old maximum capacity has been imported. I also changed changed it back to unlimited and than back to limited with the corresponding capacity. In the registration form the registration function remains selectable non the less. shoudn't it be "sold out" or something like that?
thank you

Hi Verena,
Please open a ticket with our Client Care team so they can take a look at what's going on. They will need to take a look at your registration setup on the event to troubleshoot.
Thanks!

Hi Mike, thank you so much for your super prompt answer, in fact I was to quick. We had to set up the ITEM maximum capacity. then it works.
but now I have another question: how does one need to setup a maximum capacity limit, if one item has set up various registrant type dependend pricings?
thank you very much

Hi Verena,
I'm not sure I'm following your question. If you're asking if you need to set a Function Capacity Limit when you already have item level capacities set, then no. You don't need to have it set at the function level if you're setting it at the item level.
Thanks,
Mike

Is there a way to set a capacity e.g. 20 for early bird pricing for a registration type instead of the entire item itself?
