Once you create a service order, the software automatically creates work orders for each department. However, at the time of the event, you may provide additional goods and services to a customer that the customer did not originally order. You need to add these items to the work order to ensure that the quantities and prices are included in the customer invoice and to allow for accurate financial reporting.
Use the below process only when adding items that are not already ordered. If items are already ordered but you need to update the actual quantity (i.e. 3 projectors were ordered but only 2 were needed), you can use the Entry Units field on the Work Order Items tab or screen to enter the correct quantity for the ordered item.
To add items to a work order:
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events page opens.
- Select the event with the work orders you need for the additional goods and services.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Event window opens.
- Select the Work Orders tab.
- Select the work order for the additional goods and services. You should select the work order with the department most closely related to the goods and services you are adding.
- Right-click and select Add -> Add Other Actuals to add multiple goods and services to the work order. The Add Service Order Actuals window opens. If you only need to add a single good or services to the work order, you can select Add Other Actual.
- Select the Items tab.
- Click Search to view the list of available items.
- Enter the quantity for the item you need to add into the Units field.
- Click Save (disk icon) to add the item to the work order and continue adding items.
- Repeat steps 9 and 10 for each good and service you need to add.
- Click OK when complete.
Add Additional Item Security
Adding additional items to a work order is controlled by the Allow Editing of Work Orders access privilege. This access privilege controls who can edit work orders. Any roles/users assigned to this privilege can edit work orders. Roles/users not assigned to the privilege are unable to edit work orders. If no roles/users are assigned to the privilege, it is considered inactive and all users can edit work orders.

Hello,
Prior to v20.94, the Units of an added actual could be edited in the Work Order Items window, in the "Edit Actual Item" window, and/or the Actuals tab; now the Units filed is protected in all those places, and there's no way to edit an added actual.
How do I reinstate the old functionality and make the Units field of an added actual editable?
Zak.
